OU softball unveils fall schedule featuring six-game intrasquad Oklahoma Battle Series

NORMAN — OU announced its fall softball schedule Thursday, which includes the intrasquad Oklahoma Battle Series.

All eight exhibitions will be begin at 6 p.m. at Marita Hynes Field in Norman and are open to the public.

Tickets go on sale at SoonerSports.com/tickets beginning at 10 a.m. Friday and will be available at the gate on game days. All tickets will be general admission and cost $15.

The Battle Series will begin Oct. 4 and continue with games Oct. 11, Oct. 18, Oct. 25, Nov. 1 and Nov. 9. The games will feature team vs. team competitions as well as a cumulative points system to determine Most Valuable Players and an individual champion.

The Sooners will take on North Central Texas College on Oct. 16 and Seminole State on Oct. 23. Both dates will feature five-inning doubleheaders.

The Oklahoma Battle Series games will stream on SoonerVision on ESPN+ while the other games will not be streamed.

During each of the eight games, the Sooners will hold a food drive in conjunction with the OU Food Pantry. Fans who bring canned or nonperishable items to donate (toothpaste/toothbrushes, soap, feminine care products, peanut butter, jelly, cereal cups or boxes, soups, boxed pastas, mac and cheese, canned tuna/chicken, rice or snack items) will receive a Whataburger coupon.

The Sooners, who have won back-to-back-to-back national titles, return 13 played from last season's title team including Alyssa Brito, Jayda Coleman, Kinzie Hansen and Tiare Jennings. OU went 61-1 last season, winning its final 53 games.

Wednesday, Oct. 11: Battle Series 2, 6 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 16: North Central Texas College, 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 18: Battle Series 3, 6 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 23: Seminole State, 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 25: Battle Series 4, 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 1: Battle Series 5, 6 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 9: Battle Series 6, 6 p.m.
