As the Buckeyes prepare to finish their non-conference portion of the schedule against Toledo, one that included then-No. 5 Notre Dame to start the season, followed by back-to-back games against non-power five programs in Arkansas State and Toledo, excitement for the Buckeyes conference opener is building.

Wisconsin football:Meet the Wisconsin Badgers, the first Big Ten opponent Ohio State football plays in 2022
The Buckeyes will play Wisconsin in their first Big Ten game of the season. The Badgers are the most consistent team in the Big Ten West Division and this is the first matchup of the two since the 2019 Big Ten Championship Game. Ohio State, as they did in 2014, beat Wisconsin to advance to the College Football Playoff that season.
The Badgers began the season ranked, but a Week 2 loss to Washington State at home dropped them from the rankings. Wisconsin will play New Mexico State to close out the non-conference schedule before traveling to Columbus.
