Oregon and Washington joining the Big Ten, Pac-12 collapse continues

The college football landscape will never be the same.

After rumors swirled around the Big Ten adding more teams to the conference, Action Network’s Brett McMurphy reported that the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies plan to leave the Pac-12 to join the Big Ten. Massive news for college football as the Big Ten gets stronger and the Pac-12 continues its downward spiral.

The Big Ten is expected to hold a vote this afternoon to agree on extending an invite to the Pac-12 schools. However, that is expected to be a unanimous approval, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel. College football’s realignment is no joke.

With two more programs on the move, eyes turn to the ACC with programs such as Clemson, Florida State, Miami, and more who have already explored their options outside of the conference. The ACC’s media contract makes it more difficult for these programs to move, but Florida State has been very vocal about the conference and its current standing.

Things should only get more interesting from here.
