On Friday, the Texas women’s basketball program officially began to plan for the future.

Justice Carlton and Jordan Lee both announced that they have committed to UT. Carlton is a 6-foot-2 forward from Katy Seven Lakes. Lee is a 6-foot wing from California. Carlton and Lee are the first players to join the recruiting class of 2024 at Texas.

"Only place for me," Carlton posted on Instagram.

Carlton is rated by ESPN HoopGurlz as the No. 7 prospect in the class. Lee is No. 8.

Texas last signed a top-10 talent during the 2021 recruiting cycle when Aaliyah Moore and Rori Harmon both agreed to become Longhorns.

MaxPreps named Lee to its Junior All-American Team last winter, and Carlton was an honorable mention selection. Lee averaged 20.1 points and 7.4 rebounds at Stockton's St. Mary's High School, and she scored 47 points in a playoff loss to eventual state champion Oakland Tech. With averages of 22.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists, Carlton won the District 19-6A offensive player of the year award.
