The Onion skewers Green Bay Packers and defensive coordinator Joe Barry after defensive effort against Tampa Bay
The James Webb Space Telescope will celebrate two years in space this Christmas, and it's already captured some remarkable images from deep space.
The "all-22" film of Sunday's Green Bay Packers game, by comparison, offers a view that's perhaps less aesthetically pleasing.
Popular satirical publication The Onion took a shot at the Packers' defensive struggles Sunday with a Monday headline: "James Webb Telescope Finds Evidence Of Packers Secondary Lined Up 20 Million Light Years Off Receivers."

The reference, of course, was to the way the Packers defense allowed Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield to produce a perfect passer rating in a 34-20 win over the Packers at Lambeau Field.
Defensive coordinator Joe Barry has taken the brunt of the vitriol from Packers fans for the performance, though Packers coach Matt LaFleur reiterated Monday that no change was imminent on the coaching staff.

The Onion, which has its roots in Madison dating to the late 1980s, hasn't shied away from Wisconsin news or sports stories before.
In 2021, for example, The Onion produced a headline: ‘It’s Him Or Me,’ Says Unhinged Aaron Rodgers Demanding Packers Fire Team Custodian." It's not the first or last time The Onion has poked fun at Rodgers.
