Ole Miss women's basketball lands standout transfer DeeDee Hagemann from Michigan State
OXFORD — No team in the SEC was less prolific or efficient from 3-point range than Ole Miss women's basketball last season. On Saturday, the Rebels landed a transfer who should help them solve that problem.
Former Michigan State guard DeeDee Hagemann announced her commitment to Ole Miss and coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin via social media.
Hagemann played three seasons for the Spartans and started 77 games during her time in East Lansing. She averaged 12.3 points per game in the 2023-24 campaign.

Plenty of those points came from beyond the 3-point arc. She shot 41% and made 1.4 3-pointers per game. Ole Miss made just over three 3-pointers per game last season.
She was the primary ball-handler for the Spartans, dishing out 5.2 assists per game. She's also averaged 1.4 steals per game throughout her career, which should play well in the Rebels' defense-first system.

Hagenmann will have one season of eligibility remaining. With the return of KK Deans from injury, McPhee-McCuin will have a pair of experienced point guards at her disposal after spending most of last season without one.
