Ole Miss uses dominant first-half defense to cruise past Georgia
Feb. 22—OXFORD — There was no overtime needed Thursday night.
After playing in back-to-back overtime games for the first time in program history — and coming away with wins against Florida and Mississippi State in those games despite significant deficits — Ole Miss took care of business at SJB Pavilion against Georgia. After trailing early, the Rebels went on a 23-5 run over the last 3:14 of the first quarter and all of the second to surge ahead and cruise to a 73-51 win over the Lady Bulldogs. Ole Miss has won three-straight games overall and three in a row against the Lady Bulldogs.
