Ole Miss basketball recruiting: 3-star shooting guard Jason Jackson decommits from Rebels

Ole Miss basketball suffered a recruiting loss on Wednesday after three-star shooting guard Jason Jackson of the Overtime Elite announced his decommitment from the Rebels.

The news comes from Chris Walsh, Jackson's manager. The guard from Sarasota, Florida, committed to play for Chris Beard and Ole Miss on May 30, choosing the Rebels over Texas Tech, Florida, LSU and Virginia Tech.

Jackson initially committed to Texas Tech and signed his National Letter of Intent on Nov. 15, 2022. However, he later decommited from the Red Raiders when Grant McClasland was appointed as their new head coach following Mark Adams' suspension and resignation due to racially insensitive comments.
