Top storylines for the 2024 OSSAA dual state wrestling tournament

Tuttle looks to make state history. The Class 4A top-ranked Tigers can pass Perry for the most dual state titles in state history. Another championship, which is expected, would boost Tuttle’s dual state total to 21. Tuttle has claimed 14 consecutive dual state crowns and 15 straight state tournament championships.

Edmond North the favorite in Class 6A. Edmond North is one of the top high school teams in the nation, and the top-ranked Huskies are the unquestioned favorites in Class 6A. Edmond North was the runner-up last season and has one dual state championship, which it won in 2013.

How will Carl Albert and Guthrie fare against stiff competition? Carl Albert is ranked No. 8 in Class 5A, while Guthrie is No. 7. Both programs have tough opening duals as Carl Albert will go against No. 1 Coweta and Guthrie will take on No. 2 Elgin, the defending champion. Carl Albert didn’t qualify for dual state last season but shockingly won the state tournament. Guthrie also didn’t make it to dual state last season, so both programs are taking positive steps forward.
