Ohio State women’s basketball receives No. 3 seed in NCAA Tournament

While the Ohio State men’s basketball team didn’t make the Big Dance this year, that’s not the case for the Lady Bucks. In fact, for much of the year, they were one of the best teams in the country before hitting a bit of a skid midway through the Big Ten slate.

OSU got it together in time to make a run to the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament Final but ultimately fell to Iowa. Now, it’s time to turn the page to the NCAA Tournament.

On that note, the Buckeyes were announced as a No. 3 seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament when the selection process was unveiled on Sunday. The Buckeyes’ opponent will be James Madison out of the Sun Belt Conference, with the game taking place Saturday at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus as one of the host cities for the first two rounds.

So rejoice Buckeye fans. There is still some OSU hoops to watch and follow in the NCAA Tournament, so get on board and root for the women’s basketball team to do some damage.
