Ohio State remains in the conversation for one more player in the class. Jayden Quaintance, a five-star center from Northeast Ohio who will play his final season of high school basketball at Raleigh (North Carolina) Word of God Christian Academy. The 6-9, 230-pound Quaintance has reclassified from the 2025 class and is the No. 9 player in 2024 according to 247Sports and the No. 2 center in the class.

Quaintance has taken an official visit to Ohio State and recently released a top four list comprised of Florida, Kentucky, Missouri and Ohio State. Outside of Quaintance, the Buckeyes are not involved with anyone else in the 2024 class and are likely to stay with two signees while using the transfer portal to address any unexpected roster needs.
