Ohio State will host 5-star defensive tackle in June

The 2024 Ohio State recruiting class is stocked full of offensive talent but has just two commits on the defense side.

Head coach Ryan Day is working hard on that avenue and one of those targets is Illinois 5-star defensive tackle Justin Scott. The massive interior lineman, who stands 6-foot, 4-inches, and weighs 310 pounds, recently dropped four schools that he will officially visit.

Ohio State made the cut along with Georgia, Michigan, and Miami (FL). The good news for the Buckeyes is that they will get the last crack at impressing the No. 3 ranked defensive tackle and 13th overall player according to the 247Sports composite.

Scott is a priority target for the Buckeyes and will surely roll out the red carpet for the 5-star prospect when he arrives on his visit at the end of June.
