Ohio State falls in USA TODAY college football re-rank after Week 1

As we scour the free interweb, it’s been awfully hard to find anyone who doesn’t believe that Ohio State did enough to be considered one of the top two teams in the country. The Buckeyes got bumped down in both major polls, the ESPN Power Rankings, and almost every other site that has an opinion out there.

But hey, we had hopes that our own mothership, USA TODAY could be the outlier and have our backs. Right? Not so much. Paul Myerberg does his college football re-rank every week during the college football season and he too has the Buckeyes falling ever so modestly this week after the win over a top-five Notre Dame squad.

Here is a look at Myerberg’s top 25 after our first full week of games. If you want to look at the rest of the rankings, feel free to head on over to USA TODAY and look at all 131 teams.
