Odell Beckham Jr leaves the game with a left leg injury

We were off to a hot start for the Super Bowl when it comes to these two receivers from LSU. Odell Beckham Jr started it off with a touchdown reception to start the scoring. Ja’Marr Chase responded with a ridiculous one-handed snag to set up a field goal.

Beckham caught two passes early on for 52 yards with one going for 35 yards. He was looking more like what we saw early on with the New York Giants and of course his time down on the Bayou.

Unfortunately, it looks like his night could be done. While being targeted for a pass from Matthew Stafford, Beckham came up limp and fell to the turf. He would need to be helped to the sideline and into the blue medical tent. Beckham was then taken to the locker room.

Based on the fact that it was a non-contact injury could spell disaster for OBJ. Too often those non-contact injuries end up being an ACL injury with long-term recoveries. The hopeful news is that it isn’t as serious as others in the past.

LSU Tigers Wire will provide updates on Odell Beckham Jr as they are made available. Currently, the Rams lead late in the first half, 13-10. Beckham was listed as questionable to return.
