NY Giants vs. Buffalo Bills predictions: Our expert picks for Week 6 of the NFL season

The Giants (1-4, last in NFC East) head to upstate New York as they play the Buffalo Bills (3-2, 2nd in AFC East) in Week 6 on "Sunday Night Football" at Highmark Stadium.

Last weekend, the Giants dropped their third straight game in a 31-16 loss to the Miami Dolphins in South Beach. More concerning is the health of Daniel Jones, who suffered a neck injury late in that game and will not play Sunday night.

The Bills played in London in Week 5, and nearly completed a double-digit comeback, but fell short in a 25-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Our prognosticators for Week 6 are: Art Stapleton (Giants/NFL writer, NorthJersey.com), Bert Bainbridge (sports betting analyst/columnist, NorthJersey.com), Steve Edelson (columnist, APP.com), Vince Mercogliano (Rangers/NHL columnist, lohud.com), Brian Marron (digital producer, NorthJersey.com), Chris Iseman (Rutgers writer, NorthJersey.com), Dave Rivera (sports editor, USA Today Northeast/NorthJersey.com) and Bob Jordan (sports editor, Asbury Park Press/APP.com).

Here are our staff predictions for Sunday night's game between the Giants and Bills:

Art Stapleton

The Bills are hurting themselves as they return home from a brutal London trip with key injuries and an unexpected loss to the Jaguars. Will Saquon Barkley play? He's further along than Andrew Thomas, according to Brian Daboll. But Daniel Jones has been ruled out, and Tyrod Taylor will get the start. Practice squad rookie Tommy DeVito could factor in here. This would be a massive upset for the Giants to keep things within one score, let alone pull off the victory in Orchard Park.

The pick: Buffalo 31, Giants 17

Bert Bainbridge

With Daniel Jones out, the game hinders on the health of Saquon Barkley and Andrew Thomas. If they're all good to go, I could see the Giants potentially keeping it close against a Bills' defense that has lost multiple key starters in Tre'Davious White, DaQuan Jones and Matt Milano, who are all out long term with their respective injuries. It could be more difficult than most expect but in the end the Bills' still win this one relatively easy.

The pick: Bills 34, Giants 20

Vince Mercogliano

Buffalo has extra motivation coming off last week's loss in London and the Giants haven't given us much to feel good about. I'm not seeing many reasons for optimism.

The pick: Bills 31, Giants 13

Dave Rivera

While the Giants and Bills are both dealing with injuries, it's difficult to see the Giants rallying on Sunday night here. The Bills are angry, following last week's loss in London to the Jaguars, and they'll be motivated to get things right again.

The pick: Bills 27, Giants 13

Steve Edelson

The Giants are without Daniel Jones and possibly Saquon Barkley and/or Andrew Thomas, so it’s hard to see them making a game of this as the Bills, coming off a loss, are favored big here on Sunday night. And with outside drama now creeping in as the Giants inch closer to the abyss, the path back to relevance looks impassable at this point.

The pick: Bills 35, Giants 13

Brian Marron

The Giants are reeling, injured and look like one of the worst teams in football. The Bills are the far superior team that is playing a Sunday night game at home, and should be focused after an upset loss in London.

Not much more needs to be said. Bills will roll.

The pick: Bills 41, Giants 16

Chris Iseman

The Giants look like a broken team. There is nothing that would lead me to believe anything will change on Sunday. The Bills also have some added motivation coming off a lose. Tough to imagine them losing two in a row.

The pick: Bills 31, Giants 17
