NSU athletic director arrested for DUI
Nov. 29—Northeastern State University's athletic director was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 28, under the suspicion of driving under the influence.
John Sisemore, of Stilwell, was cited for four offenses during the traffic stop by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Colton Croft.
He was ticketed for a driving under the influence misdemeanor, carrying a firearm while under the influence, carrying an open liquor container, and driving over the speed limit 21-25 miles, according to On Demand Court Records, www.odcr.com.
The incident allegedly occurred Tuesday night, Nov. 28.
Sisemore's initial appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19. As it stands, he is sitting with a $1,802.25 fee from the traffic stop.
"Northeastern State University is aware of the charges. We respect due process as this issue is addressed," NSU Vice President for University Relations Dan Mabery said.
Sisemore took the helm of NSU's athletics department in July 2022. He had earlier served for years as AD at Crowder College in Missouri, where he was also head softball for eight years. He had also been an assistant softball coach at The University of Arkansas.
