HOUMA — Drumline, please! If you know of a can’t-miss high school marching band, we want to hear from you!

The Bayou Region High School Sports Awards is now taking nominations for the Best Band Fan Favorite Award, which recognizes the best high school marching bands in the area. The winner will be announced during the on-demand streaming awards show June 28, on the event website. The show is free to watch thanks to generous sponsor support from Thibodaux Regional Sports Medicine Center.

Whether it’s the tune, visual performance, percussion or uniforms — we want to know what makes your favorite high school marching band unique. From bands that dominate at statewide or regional competitions, to those that crush it during halftime shows, we’re relying on your nominations so we can honor the area’s best. Any band can be nominated — whether it was able to perform this year or not — on the contest page now!

Nominations may be submitted through March 2. The voting period starts March 3 at 10 a.m. and concludes March 31.

If the marching band you wish to nominate is already shown on the contest page, you do not need to nominate it again. Simply wait for the voting period and show your support by voting for your favorite high school band up to once per day.

The winner of the Best Band Fan Favorite Award will be revealed during the Bayou Region High School Sports Awards and a trophy will be mailed to the winner following the show.

We can’t wait to see which band marches to the top!
