Nolensville Little League in weather delay at Southeast Region championship

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The Nolensville Little League All-Stars have to wait to learn their fate in the Southeast Region final.

Severe storms have postponed the start of the game between Nolensville and the Lake Mary Little League team from Florida. The game was scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. CST. The game is expected to begin between shortly after 8 p.m. CST.

Both teams took to the outfield to warm up three hours after the game was scheduled to begin, allowing groundskeepers to attend to the muddy infield.

The winner will advance to the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pa., beginning Aug. 16.

Nolensville has made it to the Series the last two years and is vying to become the first U.S. team to make it three consecutive years. The league finished fourth in last year's tournament and didn't place in 2021.
