Night Hawks release 2023 slate

Jul. 24—THOMASVILLE- The Thomas University Women's Soccer team announced their 2023 slate Monday morning. This year's schedule includes a new twist with the green and white entering their first year in the Southern States Athletic Conference.

The Night Hawks will look to continue to build on their stellar performances of last year's slate. The green and white stamped their ticket to the SUN Conference tournament, hosting St.Thomas University in the Quarterfinal round before ending their season in West Palm Beach, Florida against Keiser University in the Semifinal Round.

TU will open their season with a three-game road slate, starting with Bethel University in Cochran, Ga. on August 20th. Thomas will then have a few days to rest and prepare for their road trip to Montgomery, Alabama to face off against Huntingdon on August 23rd. This will mark the first time in program history that TU will compete against the NCAA opponent. Thomas will turn around the next day for a contest against Talladega on August 24th in Talladega, Alabama.

Additionally, The Night Hawks will end their road action for a while to head to their backyard to prepare for a three-game home slate. TU will open their home action with NCAA opponent Wesleyan College on September 1st, before facing off against Mississippi for Women on September 2nd. The Night Hawks will compete against Albany State on September 6th.

Thomas will then head to familiar fairgrounds on September 9th for a non-conference matchup against Ave Maria University.

The Night Hawks will begin SSAC play at home against William Carey on September 14th and will remain home on September 16th against the Rams of Mobile. TU will then switch gears to non-conference action against Georgia Gwinnett College on September 22nd in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The RoadRunners of Dalton State will head to the Rose City to face off against the Night Hawks on September 28th, before TU prepares for an SSAC road contest against Life University on September 30th in Atlanta, Georgia.

The green and white eventually will have a break in action for a few days before hitting the road to Cochran, Georgia to face the Knights of Middle Georgia on October 5th. Thomas will head to Mount Vernon, Georgia on October 7th against Brewton Parker College.

TU will have their final home contests against Faulkner University on October 12th and Point University on October 14th.

Thomas will conclude regular season activities on the road against Blue Mountain College on October 19th in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. Thomas will then face off against new SSAC member Tennessee Southern on October 21st in Pulaski, Tennessee.
