Nick Sirianni gives an update on Jalen Hurts, Lane Johnson and other injured Eagles

The Eagles are facing their first bit of real adversity season with the news that Lane Johnson (abdominal) and Avonte Maddox (toe) are set to miss an extended amount of time.

Johnson left Saturday’s loss against the Cowboys with an abdominal injury that will have him out for the remainder of the season and potentially the postseason.

Maddox is dealing with a toe injury that’s been described as “significant” and is out indefinitely.

Here’s what the head coach said about those two players, along with Jalen Hurts and C.J. Gardner-Johnson.

It’ll be the second week in a row that Sirianni says Hurts is a possibility for this weekend’s game and he’ll monitor the quarterback’s shoulder sprain.

Gardner-Johnson can be activated off the injured reserve as early as this week, but Sirianni stated that the status of their star safety will be something to watch.

The Eagles’ head coach confirmed that both players will miss time, but wasn’t specific on the length of time.
