Former Alabama golfer Nick Dunlap will make his debut in the 2024 Masters Tournament this week, seeking his first ever win as a professional.
Dunlap, a native of Huntsville, Alabama, decided to turn pro on Jan. 25 after becoming the first amateur golfer in 33 years to win a PGA tour, winning The American Express in La Quinta, California. A 20-year-old sophomore at the University of Alabama, Dunlap made his professional debut at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Feb. 1 where he finished 80th and +7 overall.
Dunlap's best finish as a pro came in the Texas Children's Houston open on March 31, where he finished T-11th with a -9. He has experience playing in majors, competing in the US Open in 2022 and 2023 as an amateur but not making the cut.
The Masters Tournament will be Dunlap's first major tournament competing as a professional.

Dunlap concludes Masters at 7-over par
Nick Dunlap concludes the Masters at a par on his final hole and totaling 7-over-par and T-61st overall in the tournament. Dunlap failed to make the final cuts in his first career Masters tournament.
Dunlap pars midway through the back nine
Dunlap recorded a birdie on the 13th hole and a par on the 14th hole to get to 8-over-par and T-71st overall. Dunlap needs to finish the next four holes at a high level to have a chance to make the cut for the final two days of the tournament.
Dunlap back at 9-over-par on the start of the back nine
Dunlap shot a bogey on the par-4 hole 10. It was his fourth bogey on the day after finishing the front nine with two straight birdies. Dunlap sits at 9-over-par and must make a run if he wants a chance to avoid being cut from the tournament.
Dunlap finishes strong on the front nine
After recording two straight bogeys and a double bogey on holes five through seven, Dunlap bounced back in a major way on the final two holes of the front nine recording birdies on both, putting him at 8-over-par and T-71st overall through 24 total holes played in the tournament so far.

Dunlap struggled on holes 5 through 7 recording two bogeys and a double bogey to put him at 10-over-par and T-79th overall. Through seven holes Dunlap has recorded three pars, three bogeys and a double bogey.

Dunlap began his second day at the Masters with a par on his first hole of the day. He currently sits at 5-over-par and T-63rd overall.
Thursday
Dunlap finishes his day at 5-over par
After a tough start in the front nine, Dunlap picked it up a bit early in the back nine with two straight birdies but struggled again on the 17th and 18th holes with a bogey and double bogey to bring his total to 5-over part and T-83rd place. He finished with 77 total points and will be back in action on Friday at 12:36 p.m. CT.
After a bogey in the 14th hole, Dunlap birdies the 15th
After beginning the back nine with two straight birdies, Dunlap cooled off a bit recording two pars and a bogey on his next two attempts putting him back at 3-over-par. However, his third birdie of the day on the 15th hole puts him back at 2-over-par with just three more holes to go.

A fast start on the back nine for Dunlap saw him at a 2-over-par on the day after recording two straight birdies on the 10th and 11th holes to put him at T-57th place.
