We're back with another weekly podcast featuring our favorite X's-and-O's analyst — Greg Cosell, the longtime NFL Films maven who's also the executive producer of ESPN's "NFL Matchup." As always, we go through this week's upcoming games with a scout's eye and Greg in control of the All-22 tape.
There are some very intriguing games Sunday and Monday, and we go through all the division matchups very specifically — how can the Chicago Bears make Aaron Rodgers(notes) look mortal once again? Can the New York Giants (or anyone else) contain Philly's LeSean McCoy(notes)? Can Buffalo's wide-open offense not only solve New England's iffy pass defense, but come up with a huge upset? What's the deal with Minnesota's offense, and how problematic is it that the Vikings are still trying to figure that out when they go up against Detroit's front seven? And is Ryan Kerrigan(notes) the guy Tony Romo(notes) really should be watching out for?
We also go through the non-division marquee matchups — the high-powered passing offenses that hit it when the New Orleans Saints face the Houston Texans, the battle of the rookie quarterbacks that unfolds when Cam Newton's Carolina Panthers go up against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Blaine Gabbert(notes) makes his NFL debut. Since we're all about inclusion, we also discuss the "offenses" of the Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts.
It's always a must-listen when Greg Cosell talks football, so check it out!
