The NFL is getting awful games out of the way quickly in Week 10, beginning with the TNF matchup. The Chicago Bears can’t win, even if they do win, because it will push them down the 2024 NFL draft ladder while helping the Carolina Panthers move up. A tie? Prediction: Panthers: 12, Bears 10

13. Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots

Europe will not want American football to return after this stinker. Prediction: Colts 34, Patriots 27

12. Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals

Each team’s city begins with an “A.” That would be the only positive about this “F” matchup. Kyler Murray’s likely return increases interest a tiny bit. Prediction: Cardinals 13, Falcons 7

11. New York Jets at Las Vegas Raiders

Antonio Pierce’s rebounding Raiders are on national TV. This would be the franchises that played in the “Heidi” game. Hopefully, NBC can slip the movie in again. Prediction: Raiders 23, Jets 21

The NFL might want to petition someone to flex the entirety of this week’s schedule. Just saying. Prediction: Bills 40, Broncos 20

What could be worse than the 40-0 shellacking the Cowboys put on the Giants in Week 1? This game. Prediction: Cowboys 42, Giants 0

7. Washington Commanders at Seattle Seahawks

This one should be close … unless the Seahawks decide to take out the frustration of being routed by the Ravens on Washington. Prediction: Seahawks 21, Commanders 20

6. Green Bay Packers at Pittsburgh Steelers

Franchises with amazing fan bases get to see their teams go at it in the Steel City. Look for the Steelers to toy with the Packers, who were less than impressive in downing the Rams. Prediction: Steelers 27, Packers 14

5. New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings

The Joshua Dobbs renaissance continues in Minnesota. Expect a high-scoring game that will see a lot of big plays. A nice game between teams on the improve. Prediction: Saints 27, Vikings 23

4. Houston Texans at Cincinnati Bengals

(USAT)

It will be Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud against one-time Ohio State QB and Buckeye State legend Joe Burrow. This game figures to light up the scoreboard. Prediction: Bengals 37, Texans 27

3. Detroit Lions at Los Angeles Chargers

(USA TODAY Network)

Teams that also figure to put up some offensive fireworks will be on display. The Lions want to prove they can win a game on the road (that is meaningful) after losing to the Ravens a couple of weeks back. The Chargers want to prove they can get through a game without making mistakes via analytics. Prediction: Lions 24, Chargers 20

2. Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens

Look for major hitting in this AFC North scrap. The teams have worthy offenses, but the defenses are not going to let them take control. Another game that sees Baltimore benefit from being at home. Prediction: Ravens 17, Browns 13

1. San Francisco 49ers at Jacksonville Jaguars

Teams coming off byes meet in what could have been considered a Super Bowl preview until the 49ers’ recent slump. This will be fascinating to see if the Jaguars continue their strong play, or if the Niners find a way to avoid a four-game losing streak after perfect 15-game regular-season run. Prediction: 49ers 27, Jaguars 20
