NFL on Thanksgiving: TV, streaming, odds and how to watch Packers vs. Lions
Break out the turducken, Thanksgiving football is right around the corner, and that means that the Detroit Lions will once again be in the national spotlight. This time though, the Lions (8-2) are actually good, taking on the Green Bay Packers for an early afternoon Thursday game.
In years past, being forced to watch the Lions felt like a chore; it is now a delight. The Lions are playing astonishingly good football and sit at second place in the NFC, barring the results of Monday night's game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.
Unfortunately for Detroit, their opponents this Thanksgiving will be the Green Bay Packers (4-6), a team that has owned them for the better part of the last decade.
The Lions have won each of their last three meetings against the Packers, but since 2000, the Packers and Lions have met on Thanksgiving six times. The Lions are 2-4 in those games. Green Bay is nearing must-win territory if they want to sneak into the playoffs, so this Thursday night matchup is of the utmost importance moving forward. Here's how to watch.
