NFL puts Tennessee Titans RB Hassan Haskins on commissioner exempt list

The NFL placed Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins on the commissioner exempt list on Tuesday stemming from his aggravated assault charge over the summer.

While on the exempt list, Haskins may not attend Titans practices or games.

The Titans put Haskins on injured reserve because of an injury sustained in the preseason on Monday, likely ending Haskins' season before it began.

Haskins and his then-girlfriend were involved in a domestic dispute in June that resulted in Haskins being charged with aggravated assault by strangulation and his girlfriend being charged with aggravated assault, assault with a deadly weapon and felony vandalism.

Haskins has a court date on Aug. 30 related to these events.

The Titans selected Haskins in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He played in 15 games as a rookie, rushing 25 times for 93 yards. He also made 13 tackles as one of the Titans' top special teams performers.

He started one game, rushing 12 times for 40 yards and catching two passes for 13 yards. He also returned kickoffs for the Titans, bringing 19 returns out for 414 yards.
