NFL Free Agency: Broncos to release former Seahawks DE Frank Clark

A former Seahawks edge rusher is hitting the market.

According to Tom Pelissero at NFL Network, the Broncos are officially releasing defensive end Frank Clark today.

Clark only played two games for Denver before his exit. Russell Wilson is performing far better than last season, but it hasn’t been enough to overcome an atrocious defense. Following last night’s latest loss to the Chiefs, Sean Payton’s Broncos team is now 1-5 on the year and is giving up 33.3 points per game, the most in the league this season.

As for the Seahawks, yes they should pursue Clark, who they originally picked in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft. Last week we pointed to edge as the one spot where an upgrade would make the biggest difference for this team down the stretch.
