NFL experts are high on Saints in Week 3
The New Orleans Saints will try to avoid an 0-3 start when they host the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night. Though they’ve had tough matchups their last two weeks, this one is definitely more manageable against a team they usually own.

And though Saints fans probably aren’t used to this, they are a popular pick by NFL experts to win this week. Eight of the 10 guys from ESPN are picking them to beat the Falcons this week. Five of eight guys from CBS are picking the Saints to win. Elliot Harrison from NFL.com is also picking the Saints to win this week.
According to NFLpickwatch.com, 75 percent of experts are picking the Saints to beat the Falcons this week.
Obviously, none of this matters. The Saints just want to win, no matter what experts are picking them. This is one of the rare times where the vast majority of experts are going to pick a team that doesn’t win a whole lot of games. The experts picks are just more evidence, though, that this team has to start winning games.
They’ve been major underachievers for the past few seasons, and a loss to the Falcons essentially dooms their playoff hopes right away, because they aren’t good enough to go 12-1 down the stretch.
Monday is a huge game for the Saints, as they could see themselves just one game out of first in the NFC South on Sunday.
