All of The Ultimate Fighter 18 Season Bonuses Go to the Ladies

All of The Ultimate Fighter 18 season bonuses went to the female fighters. Jessica Rakoczy, Sarah Moras, Jessamyn Duke, and Raquel Pennington took home the $25,000 performance-based bonuses.

Fight of the Season was awarded to Jessamyn Duke and Raquel Pennington for their back-and-forth battle from episode six. Duke set the pace in the opening round employing a kicking attack. Pennington adjusted and closed the distance and landed power shots in the second frame forcing a “sudden victory” round. Pennington pulled away in the third to earn a unanimous decision victory.

Knockout of the Season came in the fourth episode. Eventual finalist Jessica Rakoczy utilized her boxing background to hurt mixed martial arts veteran Roxanne Modafferi on their feet during the elimination round. She finished Modafferi in the second round by technical knockout due to strikes after knocking Modaferri down.

Submission of the Season went to Sarah Moras for her first-round submission win over Peggy Morgan during the elimination round. Moras secured a takedown and dished out some ground and pound before applying an arm bar that forced Morgan to tap out.

Team Tate swept the finals. Julianna Pena defeated Rakoczy by technical knockout in the first round to become the first female Ultimate Fighter winner. Chris Holdsworth submitted his way to winning the male side of the tournament, finishing Davey Grant by rear naked choke in the second round.
