UFC Officials Confirm All UFC Fight Night 30: Machida vs. Munoz Drug Test Results Clean

It has been six weeks since UFC Fight Night 30: Machida vs. Munoz took place at Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, England, but we now know the drug test results for the Oct. 26 event.

UFC officials confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that all of the 24 fighters on the Machida vs. Munoz card were drug tested and all returned negative results for performance enhancing drugs, as well as drugs of abuse.

The United Kingdom does not have a mixed martial arts sanctioning body to oversee drug testing for events, so the UFC contracts its own third-party testing company to handle drug testing in England, as they did for UFC Fight Night 30.

UFC Fight Night 30 was headlined by a middleweight bout between Lyoto Machida and Mark Munoz. The fight marked Machida’s 185-pound Octagon debut. He made the most of it, knocking his former training partner out with a head kick a little more than three minutes into the fight.

The card also featured a controversial no-contest result in the co-main event bout pitting Ross Pearson against Melvin Guillard. Guillard landed what was deemed an accidental illegal knee, and since Pearson could not continue, the fight ended in a no contest.

Pearson and Guillard are slated for a rematch at UFC Fight Night 37 on March 8 in London.
