The three must win games for the Jacksonville Jaguars this year
With this season making a fast approach, people are deciding what games are the most important ones for their teams. Obviously every team wants to win all sixteen games in the regular season. For each team, there is always those couple of games that fans want their favorite team to win. The Jaguars have three games on their schedule that are must win games.

Week 1: @ Houston Texans
First game of the year for the Jags is against their rival opponent Houston Texans. The team that looks to be like a true contender in the AFC. They seem to have found their franchise quarterback in Deshaun Watson who is projected to be the starter. The Jags are in a great spot to show the NFL that Watson is not what everyone says he is.
Watson had a great college career at Clemson. College football to the professional level is a big step. Can Watson make this transition? Who knows what will happen with him, but the Jaguars will have the opportunity to shut down the hype that is given to Watson and the Texans.
Week 5: @ Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers are arguably the second best team in the AFC behind the Patriots. Playing at Pittsburgh and trying to win is hard, but not impossible. The Jags will have the chance to beat a top team in their conference and show that they can compete with the big teams.
The Jaguars will need to have little to no mistakes in this game. They will need to be able to contain the dangerous trio of Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown. It’s hard to keep these players under check, but it can be done. If the Jags defense can show up, you could see the offense take advantage of the weak Steelers defense.
Week 17: @ Tennessee Titans
The last game of the season is against the Titans that have the talent to make the playoffs. Whether or not the Titans do well this season, the Jaguars will still need to make a statement. I chose this second game between these teams as a must win because it’s the end of the regular season and it’s against a rival. Not to mention, it’s also on the Titans home field.
Blake Bortles will have to have the magic that he shows here and there for this game. The Jags will want to win both times that these teams meet but they should have extra motivation going into this game specifically. There is no better feeling then ending the regular season with a victory and against a bitter rival on their own field.
