Suns sign draft pick Goodwin

The Phoenix Suns announced Friday that they signed draft pick Archie Goodwin.

The Suns acquired Goodwin's rights in a draft trade with the Golden State Warriors. He was taken 29th by the Warriors and sent along with Malcolm Lee to the Suns for the No. 30 pick.

Goodwin, a guard, played one season at Kentucky. He averaged a team-high 14.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 steals for the Wildcats.

He is expected to make his Summer League debut for the Suns on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Also, the Suns announced that No. 5 overall draft pick Alex Len had successful right ankle surgery. He is expected to be ready for the regular season.

Len, a 7-foot-1 Maryland product, is a native of Ukraine.
