Grab a fistful of small bills and quarters: Eddie Lacy is having a garage sale

We’ve all been there: You live at the same address long enough, you accumulate too much stuff. Then you move and rather than bring all that stuff with you, you fill garbage bags, donate clothes that don’t fit anymore, and put some random stuff in your driveway for a garage sale.

Turns out, yard sales aren’t just for those of us non-NFL-playing mortals.

Last month, Eddie Lacy signed a one-year contract with Seattle, meaning that after four years with the Green Bay Packers, he’s moving. And he’s letting Green Bay-area residents buy some of the stuff he isn’t bringing with him, a more affordable option than buying the house Aaron Rodgers just put on the market.

On Wednesday, Lacy posted a flyer to his Twitter account announcing a “garage & moving sale” on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning at his soon-to-be-former home in DePere, Wisc. Likely to discourage anyone from showing up early and hoping for a sneak peek, the exact address will be announced on social media Friday morning.

All of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to charity, and Lacy has pledged to donate any items not purchased to Freedom House, a homeless shelter alternative in the Green Bay area Lacy has worked with previously.

What do we think Lacy will be selling this weekend? A set of used P90X dvds from last offseason’s weight loss? Maybe some green-and-yellow Lacy swag from his website?
