Philadelphia Flyers coach Peter Laviolette was fined $10,000 by the NHL on Monday for his behavior at the end of Sunday's game against Pittsburgh.
Laviolette broke a stick and yelled at Penguins coaches after a hard check by the Penguins' Joe Vitale against Philadelphia's Danny Briere in the closing minutes of the game led to a brawl.
Laviolette was seen standing atop the Flyers' bench, yelling and pointing across at Pens coach Dan Bylsma. Laviolette called Bylsma gutless after the game.
Penguins assistant Tony Granato was fined $2,500.
The Flyers won the game 6-4.
