Crop comments: Chardon's defense held strong in the fourth quarter of a tied game against Chagrin Falls, and the attack scored two goals in the final frame for the victory in a battle of the top two teams in the Crop. The Hilltoppers have won six in a row and travel to a hot Gilmour team on April 25. ... Kenston remains third after a split week. The Bombers defeated Beaumont and Mooney before dropping a close game to Hawken (8-6) and a shootout against Western Reserve (17-12). The Bombers' offense has been strong all season. They will need to tighten up on defense to make a postseason push. ... Gilmour has won four of its last five with the lone defeat to Hawken (7-5). The Lancers' attack has established a rhythm in the middle of the season. ... Riverside earned a strong win against Cathedral Prep before a WRC defeat to Chardon. The young Beavers continue to improve in every contest.
