Nets sign forward Trendon Watford
The Nets announced on Thursday afternoon that the club has signed forward Trendon Watford.
Watford, listed at 6-foot-8, 237 pounds, played with the Portland Trail Blazers the last two seasons. In 62 games in 2022-23, including 12 starts, Watford averaged 7.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while shooting 39.1 percent from three-point range.
Overall, the LSU product has averaged 7.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists over his two pro seasons, appearing in 110 games with 22 starts.
The 22-year-old was originally an undrafted free agent pickup by Portland in 2021.
