Nets coach Steve Nash clears protocols; will be on sidelines vs. Celtics on Sunday

It evidently will not just be superstar forward Kevin Durant and star point guard Kyrie Irving who will be back in action in the team’s early Sunday afternoon tilt with the Boston Celtics this Sunday, with the team reporting that Brooklyn head coach Steve Nash will be available to coach the team after clearing the NBA’s health and safety protocols.

Irving of course has not played in the two teams’ previous meetings in New York due to the local mandate that has limited the Duke products’ availability this season, and Durant missed the team’s last two contests with a sprained MCL.

With the way the Celtics have been playing of late, all the depth the team can muster without wing Joe Harris — out for the season as he undergoes a second ankle surgery — and while Nash’s playing days may be over, his brilliant basketball mind on the sidelines is no minor boost for the team.
