Who needs an agent? Footballer turns to LinkedIn in a bid to find a new club
When a Premier League starlet is up for grabs, you would expect the phone to be ringing from the moment he clears out his locker.
Especially with a player involved at Leicester City, whose striker Jamie Vardy was released by Sheffield Wednesday before bouncing back through the pyramid after slipping through the floorboards.
But even with so many lower league clubs looking to pick up a bargain, one player has had to go to new heights to find a new club – advertising himself on LinkedIn.

The self-selling website usually connects business brains but free agent midfielder Ethan Hodby has found a new use.
The 19-year-old doesn’t need an agent by the looks of it – and instead told everyone of his availability online.
He wrote: “I recently left Leicester City after ten years there. Can play anywhere in midfield and on either wing.
“I have a never say quit attitude and that’s why I’m still searching and quitting never crossed my mind.
“If anyone knows of any trials popping up, or any clubs who are in need of new players, then please let me know!
The advert for his footballing services drew a great reaction with many fellow-users quick to praise his different way of finding a new club.
One wrote: “Must say, I have a massive respect and admiration for him for using LinkedIn to showcase himself this way.
“Obviously a different platform than most use in these circumstances, but he seems so level headed, driven, and willing to do what it takes to get another chance.”
