Incoming freshman Nebraska wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson Jr. was cited for marijuana possession in a dorm room on Nebraska’s campus on Friday afternoon.

Per the Omaha World-Herald, he was cited after a floor supervisor reported his alleged drug use to police.

A residence director contacted police after detecting possible drug use in a room in Selleck Residence Hall around 3:45 p.m. Friday, according to the report.

Johnson, 18, was the only student cited, said Sgt. Doug Peterson with university police.

Johnson Jr. is the son of former NFL wide receiver and current ESPN analyst Keyshawn Johnson.

Nebraska released a statement after Jr.’s citation and said it was aware of the arrest and would have no additional comment.

Johnson Sr. had 814 catches for 10,571 yards and 64 touchdowns in an 11-year career that spanned four teams.
