Everyone’s favorite basketball-loving nun is back in the news. Loyola Ramblers super fan Sister Jean made a name for herself during the 2018 NCAA tournament, and was rewarded by the team with her own ring from the Final Four on Tuesday.

The 99-year-old received the ring on the court before the team took on the Nevada Wolfpack.

Fans at the game started chanting “you deserve it” as Sister Jean, whose full name is Jean Dolores Schmidt, received her ring.

She then made sure to show it off for everyone in the arena.

The Ramblers’ surprising run to the Final Four made Sister Jean the biggest celebrity of the 2018 NCAA tournament. She became so popular that she got her own bobbleheads, which were immediately put on eBay for $300.

While Sister Jean saw a lot of surprising wins in the NCAA tournament, she wasn’t as lucky Tuesday. The Ramblers lost to Nevada 79-65.

If Loyola is hoping to give Sister Jean a repeat performance in the tournament, it will have to turn things around soon. Tuesday’s loss dropped the team to 4-3 on the season.
