NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors’ road struggles continuing with loss to Kings on Sunday
Despite getting on track with a two-game winning streak, the Golden State Warriors’ road struggles continued on Sunday evening against the Sacramento Kings.
After beating the Kings in their first two meetings of the young 2022-23 season, Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox handed the Warriors their seventh consecutive road loss, 122-115. Through 13 games, the Warriors still haven’t recorded a win outside of San Francisco.
Sabonis registered a monster double-double with 26 points and 22 rebounds in 34 minutes. As the Warriors and Kings traded buckets late, De’Aaron Fox hit a clutch 3-pointer to give the Kings a lead with under three minutes remaining and then followed with another bucket to extend Sacramento’s advantage. Outside of a triple from Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors’ offense went cold down the final stretch to punch the loss.
Curry led the way with 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field with six boards and four assists. Wiggins added 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the floor, but it wasn’t enough to solve the Warriors’ issues on the road.
