NBA Twitter reacts to Joel Embiid, Sixers falling to Bulls in double OT

The Philadelphia 76ers had a chance to extend their winning streak on Monday when they played host to the Chicago Bulls. The Sixers had won eight in a row entering the contest and they were looking to build on it as they move forward with their title plans.

They got stuck in a defensive struggle as both the Sixers and the Bulls had a tough time scoring the ball and finding any type of offensive rhythm. Philadelphia shot 42.2% from the floor, 10-for-36 from deep, and they committed 21 turnovers which led to 24 Chicago points. It all ended in a 109-105 double-overtime loss to the Bulls.

Joel Embiid had another big night as he had 37 points on 11-for-22 shooting while shooting 15-for-17 from the line. It’s the 10th straight game scoring at least 30+ points for Embiid before he fouled out in the second overtime session.

James Harden had a tough night shooting just 2-for-14 for five points, 12 assists, and seven rebounds, Tobias Harris had 14 and nine rebounds, and Tyrese Maxey had 22, six assists, and five rebounds.
