NBA Twitter reacts to James Harden, Sixers falling to Wizards

The Philadelphia 76ers had their 8-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday as they fell to the Washington Wizards 116-111 on the road. The Sixers were not able to play with the right energy and the right toughness to start as the Wizards built a lead as large as 16 and they didn’t let it slip away in the win.

The loss comes despite Joel Embiid dropping 48 points on 17-for-32 shooting with 10 rebounds while James Harden had 26 points, 13 assists, and seven rebounds. Harden shot 7-for-14 from the floor and he made all 10 of his free throws, but he also had five turnovers in the loss.

Along with Harden and Embiid’s efforts, the Sixers received 15 points from Tobias Harris, nine points off the bench from Montrezl Harrell, and De’Anthony Melton had six points. Philadelphia shot just 6-for-31 from deep.
