NBA Twitter reacts to James Harden’s debut with Clippers: ‘Harden’s system resulted in a loss to the Knicks’
James Harden debuted for the Los Angeles Clippers at Maddison Square Garden in a 111-97 loss.
The Beard put up 17 points and six assists in 31 minutes of action, while the rest of the ‘Big 4’ struggled from the field.
Here’s how NBA Twitter reacted to James Harden’s first game as a Clipper.
Seems like Embiid and the 76ers are just fine without Harden! Joel with a casual 48 piece wing dinner “fried hard” tonight with the W! Btw Maxey looking damn good at that PG position. Carry on tho…

James Harden scored 15 of his 17 points with Russell Westbrook off the floor, for those who are interested in keeping track of such things.

Harden was pretty good. But the Clippers got blown out at Knicks. Hmmmm.

Obviously frustrating loss, but James Harden looked really good in his Clippers debut.
Have to believe he’ll get more comfortable picking his spots as the games go on. He was clearly trying to be unselfish despite having it going.

WESTBROOK? NOT ENOUGH.
PAUL GEORGE? NOT ENOUGH.
KAWHI LEONARD? NOT ENOUGH.
JAMES HARDEN? NOT ENOUGH.GET BACK ON THE PLANE!

James Harden’s system resulted in a loss in his first game with the #clippers.

obviously it's gonna take a few games to integrate harden but this was a bad loss

The good news: James Harden individually is in good shape and played well individually.
Lots to figure out beyond that. He needs the ball in his hands more than it was tonight, and the team needs to put more size, length, and defense around their stars. Also PG cold + TOs

Clippers can be really nice if Harden runs the point and Russ comes off the bench, the time Harden had the ball he was cooking and making the right plays 95% of the time.
It's only November though so plenty of time to get chemistry in.

never let russ be pg again

Zero reason for why Harden shouldn’t be running the offense on every possession, this is ridiculous

“Hey I wonder how Harden’s debut is going?”
— Harrison Grimm (@Harrison_Grimm) November 7, 2023
The Clippers went from a team that had too many power forwards, to a team that now desperately needs one. But the Mason Injury puts them in an even tougher spot.

Sixers record since the Harden trade: 3-0
Clippers record since the trade: 1-2

Clippers needed to sign a 4 before but now they definitely need a big, assuming Mason is going to miss time
— Lucas (system player) (@LucasJHann) November 7, 2023
Are there anymore former MVPs the Clippers can trade for? pic.twitter.com/ODxowMKLin

Who the Clippers trading Norman Powell for

Sixers have a top 2 offense without Harden. Clippers we’re averaging 121ppg coming into tonight. Didn’t crack 100 in Harden’s debut.
The System lol https://t.co/500XAESlov

THE CLIPPERS ARE GONNA NEED ANOTHER HALL OF FAMER IF THEY WANT TO BEAT RJ BARRETT
— Shaun On Playback (@iHateShaun) November 7, 2023
The Sixers just put up 146 points with everyone contributing.
The Clippers just got beat down by the Knicks.
Shoutout to the system.#BrotherlyLove #Sixers 🔵🔴
