NBA Twitter reacts to Jaden Springer in Sixers’ preseason loss to Celtics

The Philadelphia 76ers began the preseason slate with a 114-106 loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday night. The Sixers played without Joel Embiid, James Harden, De’Anthony Melton, and Furkan Korkmaz as they continued to prepare for the 2023-24 season.

In place of their top guys, coach Nick Nurse was able to see what he has in his younger players. While Tyrese Maxey had 24 points and picked up where he left off in the 2022-23 season, the Sixers were able to see what they had in young Jaden Springer who is entering an important third season in the NBA.

Springer had 14 points and five rebounds while knocking down two triples. He was active on the defensive end of the floor including a ridiculous block on Celtics star Jayson Tatum. This is a performance that helps build his case to earn playing time in Philadelphia.
