NBA All-Star Weekend 2024 events: How to watch 3-point shootout, dunk contest and more

The 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend is Feb. 16-18 in Indianapolis.

From the celebrity game, to the dunk contest, to the All-Star Game itself and everything in-between, NBA fans have plenty of entertainment options throughout the three-day slate of events.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be represented this year by guard Donovan Mitchell, who's making his fifth consecutive All-Star Game.

Despite lobbying from his teammates, at the time of writing, Cavs center Jarrett Allen was not named an All-Star.

Here's a full breakdown of the All-Star Weekend events throughout the weekend.

NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, Rising Stars will be televised Friday

Curious which celebrities have game out on the hardwood? Fans can find out Friday, Feb. 16, via the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Among those named to Celebrity Game rosters is former Ohio State standout and Houston Texans Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud.

After that, basketball fans can get a closer look at the league's young talent — including San Antonio Spurs skyscraping rookie center Victor Wembanyama — via the Rising Stars game.

The key competitive events of the weekend kick off on Saturday, Feb. 17.

Whether you're a fan of ball-handling and flashy passes, 3-point marksmanship or the ever-exciting, high-flying slam dunk, there's sure to be an event that piques your hoops interests.

This year, sharpshooters Steph Curry and Sabrina Ionescu will even face off head-to-head in a 3-Point Challenge with money being donated to each hooper's respective charities of choice.

How can I watch this year's NBA All-Star Game?

On Sunday, the NBA's 73rd All-Star Game will be preceded by the "G League Up Next Game presented by AT&T" — essentially another showing of young talent, only this time including players who have stood out in the NBA G League (basically the minor leagues of professional basketball).

Cavaliers draft pick and Cleveland Charge swingman Emoni Bates was among those selected to participate.
