With the Golden State Warriors punching an early ticket to the offseason after a pair of losses in the Western Conference play-in tournament, Warriors Wire is checking in on former members of Golden State across the 2021 edition of the NBA postseason.

In the opening round of the playoffs, Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant and Miami Heat forward Andre Iguodala lead a featured group of former Warriors trying to get back to the NBA Finals with new teams. Former Warriors DeMarcus Cousins, Alec Burks and JaVale McGee will also be in action during the 2021 playoffs.

Here is a look at how Durant performed during game three between the No. 2 seed Brooklyn Nets and No. 7 Boston Celtics.

Eastern Conference Round 1, Game 3: Nets at Celtics:

With a commanding two-game lead over the Boston Celtics, former Warrior Kevin Durant dropped a scorching 39 points on 13-of-24 shooting from the floor for the Nets.

Durant tacked on nine boards, four steals, a block and an assist in 40 minutes. Despite Durant’s teammate James Harden adding 41 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the field with seven 3-pointers, it wasn’t enough to slow down Jayson Tatum at home.
