Should NBA players be allowed to play basketball for other teams in the offseason?

First, Oklahoma City Thunder Chet Holmgren went down with a season-ending injury while playing in Jamal Crawford’s Seattle-area CrawsOver Pro-Am.

Soon after, Boston Celtics veteran forward Danilo Gallinari avoided an ACL tear in a scary-looking injury during World Cup group stage qualifying. However, he still suffered a torn meniscus that will have him off the court until at least November.

Even Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic looked for a moment as though he might have injured himself in a FIBA qualifier on the heels of Gallo’s injury, raising the question yet again whether teams ought to let their players compete in other leagues and competitions (they should, they are going to be playing it somewhere – ed.).

The hosts of the Fox Sports “Odd Couple” radio show debated whether it would be a good idea to ban players from non-NBA activities in the offseason in light of this recent spate of injuries.

Check out the clip embedded above to hear what they think ought to be done.
