NBA looking into alleged relationship between Thunder guard Josh Giddey, minor: reports
The NBA is looking into allegations that Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey had an improper relationship with an underage girl, according to reports.
The allegations initially surfaced on social media earlier this week.
The 21-year-old declined comment when asked about the allegations.
“I understand the question obviously, but there’s no further comment right now,” he told reporters after Friday’s practice.
Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault also declined comment after Friday’s practice.
“Personal matter, and I have no comment on it,” he told reporters. “And that’ll be my comment on anything related.”
Giddey is in his third season with the Thunder. The Australian is averaging 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 15 games with the Thunder this season.
