NBA DFS: Two value plays for Friday's slate of games

There are hidden gems in the NBA for daily fantasy if you look hard enough. Some players have hit the ground running since the NBA All-Star break, while others are finding their groove since the trade deadline. For my two value plays, both are great ways to save money and get great production value.

$18 LAC SF Marcus Morris Jr. at ATL

When looking at the Atlanta Hawks games since the All-Star break, I've realized small forwards have had the most success against them. The position has averaged 23.7 points per game since then. Although Marcus Morris can be a streaky player, he put up 15 points against Atlanta on Jan. 9. For just $18, the risk could be worth the reward.

$16 DAL PF Dorian Finney-Smith at HOU

The Houston Rockets are consistently the worst defense in the NBA. They're allowing 118.1 points per game to their opponent. In the last 10, that number is up to 121 points per game allowed. Dorian Finney-Smith has really benefited from the Kristaps Porzingis trade. Finney-Smith is averaging 15.8 points per game in the last six and should continue to have success against this non-existent Houston defense. To get 15 or more points for $16 saves you salary room for other stars in your lineup.
