NASCAR Las Vegas playoff race 2023: Start time, TV, streaming, lineup for South Point 400
NASCAR arrives in Sin City as the third round of the Cup Series playoffs begin.
The field of championship contenders has been reduced from 12 to eight following last weekend’s elimination race on the Charlotte Roval, and the stakes have been raised again as the points are reset. Eight drivers will test their skills, mettle, and, quite possibly, their luck over the next three races to determine who will race for the 2023 championship next month at Phoenix Raceway.
The excitement begins Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the first of two races on intermediate ovals in the Round of 8 – with Homestead-Miami Speedway next weekend – before the final elimination race at Martinsville Speedway – NASCAR’s smallest track – sets the final four.
A victory this Sunday clinches a berth in the Championship 4, a guarantee for the winner that Homestead and Martinsville will be no more than leisurely Sunday afternoon drives. Perform poorly in Las Vegas, however, and the pressure ramps up significantly.
